Biomechanical Management of Class II K.a Patients.

Objectives: to present esthetic and biomechanical problems of the class II K.A and to propose several ways of resolution.
Methods: case series of class II patients will be presented and discussed. The first case was a patient consulting the prosthesis department of the university dental clinic of Monastir for prosthetic rehabilitation. The oral clinical examination revealed the left molars loss. The decision a metallic frame removable partial denture (RPD) Biomechanical problem due to axis rotation around residual ridge was suspected for the future removable prosthesis. To avoid this problem secondary rests in the right part of the arch was realized.
The second case was a 75-year-old female, diabetic. She consulted for oral rehabilitation. She had in the mandible a class II K.A with One modification. The 33 was isolated and dilapidated tooth. It was endodontically and periodontally acceptable. The prosthetic decision in the mandible was hybrid complex prosthesis with an articulated axial attachment (33, Rhein83).
Results: - the use of an axial attachment on damaged and isolated teeth can highly manage the biomechanical problems related to the class II of K.A.
-The esthetic is managed by wisely choosing prosthetic teeth and the use of attachment which allows the elimination of the vestibular arms of the clasps.
Conclusions: The conservation of residual roots and the use of attachment can manage the aesthetic and biomechanical problems of the class II K.A edentulism.
