Combined Minimally Invasive Treatment Techniques of Severe Brown Spots Lesions

Objectives: This case report aims to describe the efficiency of combined minimally invasive treatment techniques (vital bleaching, micro-abrasion and resin infiltration) to manage successfully severe brown spots on anterior teeth enamel.
Methods: A 17 years old female patient complains about brown and white spot enamel lesions on her upper anterior teeth. Anamnesis revealed a dental trauma at the age of 3 years.
The severe and deep teeth coloration indicates a full esthetic method starting with micro-abrasion method using OpalustreTM (Ultradent Products Inc), followed by in-office vital bleaching with Opalescence BoostTM(Ultradent Products Inc) and finally resin infiltration technique using Icon® (DMG).
Results: The esthetic appearance was very satisfying for the patient. The brown spot enamel lesions were completely disappeared and the white spot lesions were highly concealed.
Conclusions: Combined minimally invasive treatment techniques can manage effectively severe brown spot enamel lesions without having recourse to prosthetic solutions.
