Angiomas of the Oral Cavity : Systematic Literature Review

Objectives: To highlight these pathologies taking into account the epidemiological and clinical aspects and to state the indication of the different therapeutic modalities with regard to each type of angioma
Methods: the bibliographic research was carried out on the "MEDLINE" database via the "PubMed" consultation interface by combining the following "MeSH" keywords : "Hemangioma", "Vascular malformations", "Lymphangioma", "Mouth", "Therapeutics", "Slerotherapy", "Laser", "Surgical procedures" . After selecting the articles, the different data were extracted and analyzed.
Results: After removing the duplicates and respecting the defined criteria of exclusion and inclusion, 44 articles were included in our review.
Conclusions: According to this study, several therapeutic modalities have been proposed for the management of vascular lesions, including abstention and tratments such as lasers, sclerotherapy, cryotherapy, mTOR inhibitors, embolization and surgery, which can be used alone or in combination. The choice of the appropriate modality depends on the type, size, location and symptoms of the anomaly.
