Collagen Extract from Osphronemus Gouramy Scale Modulates Runx2 Expression in Rat Alveolar Bone

Objectives: To obtain the value of RUNX2 expressions in rat alveolar bone after application of Osphronemus gouramy scale collagen extract.
Methods: Thirty-six Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups. The first was 7-days control group, the second was 7-days fish-scale group. Immunohistochemical examination procedure was performed to determine expressions of RUNX2 on day 7. The data were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA with the significance level of α=0.05.
Results: T-test analysis showed that a significant difference between the control group and fish-scale group (p<0.05).
Conclusions: Collagen extract from Osphronemus gouramy scale increases� RUNX2 expression.
