Profile of IgY in Serum and Egg Yolk against Periodontopahogenic Bacteria
Objectives: To determine the profile of immunoglobulin Y anti A. actinomycetemcomitans and P.gingivalis in serum and egg yolk.
Methods: Hens were divided into three groups; each group consist of 10 hens. The first group as a control group was immunized with NaCl 0,9%, the second group was immunized with A.actinomycetemcomitan and the third group was immunized with P.gingivalis. This experiment was done by hemagglutination test.
Results: The result of this study showed that the IgY in serum and in egg yolk have the titer in hemagglutination test. There was significant difference statistically of the titer in hemagglutination test between the control group and group that injected with A.actinomycetemcomitans and P. gingivalis (p < 0.05).
Conclusions: IgY in serum and egg yolk against A.actinomycetemcomitans and P. gingivalis and have titer : 0,125.
