Immediate Implant Stability Compared to Delayed Implant Stability: A Systematic Review

Objectives: to compare ISQ follow-up value between immediate implants and delayed implants.
Methods: An electronic search on PubMed and Wiley Online Library was conducted to find articles published between March 2017 and March 2018 about ISQ value to determine immediate implant stability or delayed implant stability. Manual review and selection were performed on 67 initial articles, and resulting in only 5 articles that met the inclusion criteria
Results: The initial search of online database resulted in 67 articles. All the full-text articles were screened and selected based on inclusion criteria. There were 184 patients with 215 implant treatments in the remaining 5 articles. About 163 implants were immediate implants procedure and the remaining 52 implants were delayed implants procedure.
Conclusions: The ISQ value between immediate implants and delayed implants showed that the stability of the implants is mostly in medium stability groups for both types of implants procedures.
