Amelogenesis Imperfecta – A Case Report

Amelogenesis imperfecta is a developmental defect of enamel with   heterogeneous etiology that affects the enamel of both primary and permanent dentitions. At least three different clinical variations of amelogenesis imperfecta are observed:  hypoplastic, hypomaturation and hypocalcification types.

This is a case of a 7 year-old female patient who is presented with her parents complaining of generalized staining of her teeth. Her medical history is not significant and her family history reveals that 7 other family members have the same problem. Management of this case aims at restoring vertical dimension and improving esthetics.
