Method: Patients were assigned into 3 groups (n = 12 ) according to technical and material, G1 (white strips-WS) Opalescence Go!/Ultradent ( 10 % H2O2 );G2 – (in office bleaching- IOB) Opalescence - Boost / Ultradent ( H2O2 38 % ) , G3 - technique associated (WS + IOB ) . In group 1 , patients used the strips for 10 continuous days , for group 2, 2 applications every 5 days were accomplished , in group 3 , WS for 5 days- IOB session (40 minutes) - 5 days of WS strips – another IOB session. Patients were evaluated for color using a spectrophotometer and Vita scale for tooth bleached, and for sensitivity by a visual analogue scale before, immediately after using the gel and after 14 days .
Result: The results showed that Group 3 (WS +IOB) was statistically superior to the other as the change in tooth color and group 1 (WS) showed no tooth sensitivity when compared to others .
Conclusion: The complement of in-office bleaching with the white strips association was the most effective technique as the degree of bleaching obtained after 10 days of treatment.
