A comparative evaluation of working length achieved by extra-oral radiography, intra-oral radiography and electronic apex locator

Objectives: To determine the most accurate method of working length determination
Methods: M/M: Working length was established in 20 single rooted teeth using extra-oral radiography, intra-oral radiography and electronic apex locator and the results were compared for accuracy
Results: Working length determined by electronic apex locator and intra oral radiographs was significantly more accurate than that achieved by extra oral radiographs
Conclusions: Working length determination is most accurately established with electronic apex locator
