Materials and method:Questionnaires were sent to dental schools in theUnited Kingdom and republic of Ireland and analyzed.A review of the dental Curricula in these schools was carried out and a critique of thecurrent ones in use in Nigeria was done.
Results: It was discussed that 62.5% of these dental Schools in the United Kingdom and republic of Ireland are presently using: the competence based curriculum.
Conclusion:A recommendation for its use in dental Schools in Nigeria was advocated as opposed to the objective model type' curriculum that is presently being used.
