OBJECTIVE: Oral and Maxillofacial Sarcoidosis is rare and the most common oral and paraoral symptoms is usually asymptomatic swelling. When intraoral or paraoral sarcoidosis is diagnosed by histology, radiograph, laboratory tests and clinical correlation, the accessibility of the oral and paraoral lesions can be used to monitor the disease activity. In most cases the detection of the oral and paraoral lesions leads to the discovery of multisystem affectation. We are presenting a case of sarcoidosis involving the parotid and the lacrimal glands.

METHOD: Diagnoses was through labial gland biopsy.

RESULT: Discovery of the involvement of the testes and the lungs. The case was managed by multidisciplinary approach using steroids to suppress the immune system with considerable remission.

CONCLUSION: It is sometimes important for the dentist to collaborate with other disciplines for the effective management of patients.
