ANALYTICAL STUDY OF UNIVERSITY NON-INSERTION IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC

Objectives:
Identify, interpret, analyze and diagnose the comprehensive situation of the student population in the context of a pandemic, know the sociodemographic characteristics; academic backgrounds; different technological applications that they use; computer, technological and socio-emotional problems; willingness to maintain virtuality; teachers' performance.
Methods:
Semi-structured survey using a Google form, 245 students studying Histology and Embryology, first year of the Dentistry career of the UNR years 2020 and 2021, voluntary and anonymous, with multiple single answer option.
Results:
The most obvious difficulties are based on socio-demographic problems, with the majority of students residing outside Rosario. Regarding the socio-economic, this pandemic has seriously aggravated their academic performance, because in situations they are family support. In relation to the previous training of the middle school, it was evidenced that the virtuality of the closing of the cycle was deficient in the pre-university preparation. In relation to the socio-affective, a feeling of dissatisfaction and anguish prevails due to the impossibility of achieving the first objective of university insertion. It is important to mention that technological inaccessibility in many situations acted unfavorably.
Conclusions:
The insertion to the university is undoubtedly a very important change in the lives of the students, which entails difficulties and a period of adaptation. The virtuality of teaching strictly enforced by the pandemic has deepened this problem, affecting not only academic performance, but also the socio-affective life of students.
