methods:Subjects were woman 32 volunteers who visited Dept. of preventive dentistry, dankook dental hospital from May to July, 2003. Standard dentifrice was made according to the BS and experimental dentifrice was made with Rose-hip oil. During 3 weeks, at baseline, 1, 2, 3 week, PHP index, PMA index, EPT test, Halimeter test was done repeatedly.
results:1) In PHP index, there was significant difference between two group at 2 week after use. 2) In PMA index, there was significant difference between two group at 3 week after use. 3) In EPT test, there was significant difference was acknowleged. 4) In halimeter test, there was significant reduction in experimental group.
conclusion:The dentifrice with natural Rose-hip oil was recommended for the outpatient with slight halitosis, early gingival inflammation and hypersensitive tooth.
