The Oral Health Impact Profile is a well known method for identifying dimensions in OHRQoL and it is one of the most sophisticated and popular instruments for measuring OHRQoL. Despite the development studies in the field OHRQoL , very few studies have made dentistry a community of their own. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the teaching system of dentists as the most effective people in the community. Methods: This cross-sectional survey was done by census method among fourth year dental and architecture students in Shahid Beheshti University. After presenting an explaination about goals of study, the OHIP-14 questionnaire was distributed among students who tend to participate in the survey and complete the questionnaire. After collecting questionnairs, the data was entered analyzed by Independent-Samples T Test and Mann-Whithney and Liner Regression Test. Results : There were 107 students participating in this study. The overall OHIP-14 score among dental students was 10/27±)6/30) and architecture students was 9/11±)6/28) and there is no statistically significant difference in OHRQoL between them (P=0/34) . But there was a significant difference (p=0/00) between the two groups in mental and emotional range. Dental students had a higher average score. Conclusion : Our results reinforce the hypothesis that the current curriculum in the field of Oral health-related quality of life has acted poorly in OHRQoL.
