Anesthesia (EDA) in operative dentistry NOT PRESENTED

Objective: EDA system applied for local anesthesia in dental treatment, this method can be excellent
substitute for injection in dentistry.
Method and material: EDA system change electrical potential of cells in tissues with send pulses in
shape of BURST WAVES, that leads to anesthesia of tissues around the electrodes.
Research studies showed that, frequency between 100 HZ-250 HZ and duration between (20-100
micro second) can be created the best local anesthesia.
Result & Conclusion: Considering the fact that many dental treatments require anesthesia. Fear
derived from pain from injection can create anxiety in patients. Therefore, injection can be replaced
with this method in dental treatments.
