Oral Manifestations Related to the Use of Synthetic Cathinones
Objectives: :To explore the biological effects, alterations in the use of synthetic cathinones in the stomatognathic system. Methods: A descriptive observational study was conducted from official reports of the illegal use of synthetic cathinones in the country. Results: Adverse effects due to the use of cathinones are manifested in the oral cavity as; bruxism, trismus, tension and alterations at the temporomandibular level, xerostomia, tissue disorders, motility in the tongue and oropharyngeal pain. Conclusions: From the processed data it can be concluded that it is considered opportune to generate transdisciplinary research spaces in the subject.
