Start and Location of the Incomplete Vertical Lip Groove in the Lower Lip Drawing
Objectives: To identify the presence and beginning of the incomplete vertical labial groove with inferior location (SLVI), which may be superior or inferior. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out based on the reading of images taken from a sample of individuals. The variables studied were: a) Presence of the SLVI in the lower lip b) Superior or inferior start of the SLVI in the lower lip. It started with a simple random sampling in space with a statistical confidence level of 95%; an expected ratio of 0.5; precision: 0.03 (3% error); being therefore the n = 1068. Results: The minimum age was 21 and maximum 80, average 40.93, mode 37 and median 36 years. For a) Presence of the SLVI groove in the lower lip 927; 86.8% .b) Lower start: 569; 53.3%. Top start 615; 57.60%. Conclusions: From the processed sample, it can be concluded that the specification in the beginning of the SLVI in the lower lip favors the reading of the Labial drawing.
