Global Oral Health Inequalities: the Research Agenda – An IADR Initiative

The speaker was appointed as Professor of Global Oral Health at Bart's and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London in May 2011. Previously he was Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences at the University of Southampton between 2004-10 and then Vice Provost between 2010-11. He was President of the International Association for Dental Research between 2009-2010, during which period he began the Global Oral Health Inequalities Research Agenda Initiative. This was established in May 2009, with the objective of articulating a program of research that would have the potential to create measureable improvements in global oral health within five years.
