“COMPARISON OF ADHESIVE STRENGTH IN ANATOMICAL FIBER POST CEMENTED WITH RESIN CEMENT, RESIN-MODIFIED GLASS IONOMER AND CONVENTIONAL GLASS IONOMER, 2014”
Objectives: General Objective Determining the adhesive strength of anatomical fiber post cemented with: resin cement, resin-modified glass ionomer and conventional glass ionomer in Biomaterials Laboratory, 2014. Specific Objecives Determine adhesive strength of anatomical fiber post cemented with Resin Cement. Determine adhesive strength of anatomical fiber poles cemented with Resin-modified Glass Ionomer. Determine adhesive strength of anatomical fiber post cemented with Conventional Glass Ionomer. Compare values obtained of adhesive strength of anatomical fiber poles cemented with: Resin Cement, Resin-modified Glass Ionomer and Conventional Glass Ionomer. Methods: Root canal treatment was performed in 39 canines and single-rooted human extracted premolars. K limes (Malliefer®) were used for biomechanical preparation to a caliber n° 80, for filling main cone n°80 and partial unsealing with pesso drills n°4 (Maillefer®) 9 mm. Then it proceeded to the cementation of anatomical fiber post Reforpost Nº2 (Angelus) and composite (Rebilda DC®). The teeth were randomly divided into 3 groups of 13 samples. Group A was cemented with resin cement (Multilink), group B with resin-modified glass ionomer (Meron Plus) and group C with conventional glass ionomer (Merón®).The samples were subjected to tensile forces in the Instron machine model 3369. The loading speed was 2.5 mm / second. The adhesive strength was obtained by calculating the Tension, using the formula T = F / A, in which the force (Newton) is divided by the inner pole area (mm2) in order to convert values in MPa. Results: There was a significant difference in the adhesive strength. Group A had an average of 4.2 MPa, group B had an average of 1,7 MPa and group C had an average of 1,4 MPa. Conclusions: Analyzed the study results, it is suggested the use of resin cement to fix anatomical fiber post for later rehabilitation.
