Research on the Mechanic Proprieties of Dental Zirconia-Glass Ceramic Composite

Objective: To develop the composite which could match the Zirconia ceramic framework and the aesthetic porcelain lamina. Methods: Glass adding different proportion Ce-Y-Mg PSZ were sintered under different temperature and condition, the flexural strength of these composite blocks were measured. Results: The flexural strength values of these composites were lower than Zirconia ceramics, composite with 50% Zirconia sintered in vacuum condition for 1200ºC got the highest strength. Conclusion: composite containing 50wt% glass which was sintered in vacuum condition for 1200ºC got the highest strength(197.05±37.11MPa), and could be studied as the veneer material matching the Zirconia ceramic bridge.
