Integrate Medical Education with Humanistic Education

Objectives: The modern medicine education is completely implemented by the means of natural science education. The cognition of human being and life can not stay at the purely material level of understanding. Methods: Liberal education, compared with speciality education or skill education, is a kind of more extensive education. Results: In exploring the nature of human and in the pursuit of value of life, Humanity culture has always been a center. Thought debating and reflection triggered by humanity culture is the engine of progress of life value in the history. Literature, art, history, religion, philosophy and so on are all infiltrated with human culture. It is necessary for medical students to know humanity culture, fell the academic humanities, receive humanistic education. Conclusion:The humanities will provide a spiritual level in understanding and awareness of human being, life and human integrity. It is the compensation of humanistic education to the integrity of medical professional education which constitute converging point of the two education philosophies.
