Self-care Knowledge In The Oral Health During Pregnancy In Hangzhou

Objective: To find out how pregnant women had grasped the Self-care knowledge of oral health in gestation. Methods: Inquiry the pregnant women who had received gestational education in obstetrical affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University, maternity and child hygiene hospital of gongshu hangzhou, maternity and child hygiene hospital of jianggan hangzhou from January 2005 to April 2005, to evaluate the degree that they grasped the Self-care oral knowledge in gestation. Results: Five hundreds and sixty-one pregnant women accepted the investigation during the three-month in the three hospitals. The Self-care oral knowledge during pregnancy of 40 percent pregnant women is poor. Conclusion: It is suggested to supplement pregnancy guidelines by including visit to the dentist as an integral part of antenatal checkups.
