Effects of 'Yishenqinghuo' recipe on the BMSCs of rat

Objectives: To evaluate the effect of Yishenqinghuo compound on the biological characteristic of rat BMSCs and search after the probable mechanism of this compound treating periodontitis. Methods: 12-15 months SD rats were selected to 5 groups. A: control group( no periodontitis model, fed same dosage saline of group D); B: model group( with periodontitis model, fed same dosage saline of group D); C: high dosage group( with periodontitis model, fed high dosage medicine); D: middle dosage group( with periodontitis model, fed middle dosage medicine); E: low dosage group( with periodontitis model, fed low dosage medicine). Ten days after, serum were collected from all animals and BMSCs were treated by these serum. Results: The serum of C1( collected serum of group C,0.5h after the last time feeding medicine) having the same effect to group A, could improve the proliferation of BMSCs. Group B was the worst group(P<0.01). The serum of C2( collected serum of group C 1h after the last time feeding medicine) could enhance the expression of ALP, and had significant difference comparing other groups(P<0.01). Conclusions: Yishenqinghuo compound can improve the proliferation of BMSCs and facilitate their differentiation to osteoblasts.
