Objectives: To evaluate the clinical effect of microwave on the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. Methods:One hundred and thirty hypersensitive teeth(including wedge-shaped ditch and severe abrasion) were selected and random divided into two groups. One group was treated by microwave, while the other using sodium fluoride glycerine paste. Results:The experimental group showed much better result(90.3% effective) than the control group(51.2% effective). After statistical analyses, the two group had significant difference(P°Ï0.05).Conclusion:Microwave was proved that it would have an effective result on treating dentinal hypersensitivity.
