The Research of an oral health database management system

Objective: to study a database management system for the routine oral health examination, and record, store, add up the examinees' oral health information completely and provide more comprehensive oral health care. Method: using the object-oriented technology, the system program was written with JAVA based on win2000/xp. Results: using this system, the examinees' oral health information could be managed completely, accurately and expediently, including general conditions, clinical examination, treatment need, therapy process, health care and so on. It was feasible for improving the quality and efficiency of health care and introducing more knowledge of oral health care. Conclusion: with the advantages of intuitional user interface, full-scale input-search, easy expanded, sorted statistics in some conditions, easy consulted, and a new management model for oral health care staffs, the system has an important meaning to spread.
