The comparison about clinical pathology diagnosis between OLK and OLP

±Abstract• Objectives:To analyze the characteristics of clinical and pathologic dianosis of oral leukoplakia and lichen planus. Methods:53 oral leukoplakia cases and 57 oral membrane lichen planus cases are selected, the clinical and pathological characters are analyzed through systematically retrospective studies. Results:Oral leukoplakia are often found in lingual and buccal mucosa at the age of 40~49; Oral lichen planus often takes place in female. The epithelium of leukoplakia often has hyperparakeratosis and drop shaped rete ridge. The epithelium of oral lichen planus often has hyperparakeratosis and lamina propria frequently soaks with lymphocyte. The basal cell often occur liquefaction. The accordance rate of clinical diagnosis and pathological diagnosis is high. Conclusion:Differential diagnosis between oral leukoplakia and oral lichen planus should link with the keratosis of epithelium, the soaking of lymphocyte in lamina propria, the drop-shaped rete ridges and liquefaction of basal cells.
