The Effect of Kavo Prophyflex 3 Applied in Sealant Technique

Objectives:To evaluate the effect of kavo prophyflex 3 applied in pit and fissure sealants technique. Methods:We divided 160 permanent molar into 2 groups randomly. The tooth surfaces of the experiment group was cleaned by prophylaxis brush, while those of contrast group was treated by kavo prophyflex 3. The preserve rate was investigated and analysis after 6,12,24 months individually. Results:The peserve rate of experiment group was 100%,97.8% and 95.5% after 6,12,24 months, those of contrast group was 98.3%, 90.4% and 81.8%. The difference is significant(p<0.05). Conclusion: Kavo prophyflex 3 is superior to conventional technique in cleaning the tooth surface in pit and fissure sealants technique.
