Nonlinear finite element Contact analysis of implant/abutment interface connection for five models

Objectives: The analysis will be helpful for clinicians to choose implant systems. Methods: ANSYS Design-Space (Ver 6.01) is used examine stress levels and distribution for three-dimension (3D) of osseointegrated implants restored with different abutments and prosthesis designs. Results:The direct screw connection has a higher strength than the internal hexagon and triple-cam tube-in-tube connections. Conclusions:The larger screw diameter is, the higher connection strength in the internal screw connections. Although internal triple-cam tube-in-tube implant/abutment interface is slightly more stable than the internal hexagonal interface connection, it is very dangerous in the three cylinder cam of Camlog abutment.
