Investigation of clinic using dental amalgam post-and-core of posterior teeth

Objectives:The Objective is study the feasibility and curative effect clinic using dental amalgam post-and-core of posterior teeth. Methods: Chose 52 molar in which root canal has been filled and left one wall at least from 32 sufferer at random from the clinic.Group ¢ñ,¢òwere used two kinds of post cores respectively, Group ¢ñemptied the part filling of root canal °¢ formed 3~6mm length to surface of root and 1.0~1.5 mm diameter ,filled and condensed with dental amalgam,then have prepared the tooth and fixed the PFM on tooth as usual after 24 hour. Group ¢ògetting cast metal post-and-core usually and fixed the PFM on tooth. Collect statistics with the rate of left PFM of two group after 6~24 month. Results:The results showed that no significant difference the rate of left PFM between two group (£Ð©ƒ0.05) ,no difference between dental amalgam and cast metal post-and-core .Conclusion:The study concluded that the dental amalgam post-and-core can be used molars in order to saving the residual tooth in right way choiced
