Methods:Since the chewing movement is the random motion of the reflection control when sleeping, the sleep bruxism patients using the stable occlusal pads for curing their thickness can make their dental arch articulation stable, change their articulation relationship directly, so that the method of using the stable occlusal pads can make sleep bruxism suspend and disappear.
Results:We cured 47 adult patients with the sleep bruxism by using the the stable occlusal pads. The thickness of the stable occlusal pads are 3 to 5 mm. The sleep bruxism patients wore the stable occlusal pads for 3 to 6 months. Among the 47 sleep bruxism patients, 42 of them recovered. Conclusions:In this paper, the stable occlusal pads were used to make sleep bruxism suspend and disappear,and 47 adult patients with the sleep bruxism were cured by using the the stable occlusal pads.
