A Clinical Evaluation of Two Material For Restoration of Wedge-shaped Defects

Objectives: To compare the clinical effect of Clearfil AP-X and Dyract AP according to modified USPHS evaluation criterion. Methods: 60 patients with 431 Wedge-shaped defects are selected randomly in the clinic, and are randomly divided into two groups. In group¢ñ 220 teeth are filled with Clearfil AP-X, Clearfil SE Bond as adhesive; In group ¢ò211 teeth are filled with Dyract AP, Prime&Bond NT as adhesive. Results: The successful rate was 91.28% in group ¢ñ,80.95% in group ¢ò for 18 months. The percentage of filling loss and marginal deformity are higher in group¢òthan group¢ñ. Conclusions: Clearfil SE Bond/Clearfil AP-X is superior to Prime&Bond NT/Dyract AP when they are used to restore wedge-shaped defects.
