Clinical Application of the Lava COS System

The Lava Chair-side Oral Scanner (3M ESPE) is a digital impression system that offers the opportunity to record an intraoral scan of a patient for use in fabricating models and laboratory restorations. The clinical technique for using the Lava COS for patient treatment will be explored in detail. Clinical cases will be used to illustrate the key steps in the clinical sequence. Available evidence of model and restoration accuracy with the system will be reviewed. The program will help participants understand the distinguishing capabilities and limitations of the system and potential restorative treatment options.
