Evaluation of microleakage in deciduous teeth restored with Portland Cement

OBJECTIVES:Tests that evaluate marginal sealed and your consequent microleakage are indispensable for new materials utilization. The goal of this work was to evaluate for microleakage proximal slot of deciduous molar teeth restored with Portland Cement ash CPIII Votoran added of kind plaster Mossoró (G1); Portland Cement ash CPIII Votoran (G2); Portland Cement white CPB40 structural Votoran added of kind plaster Mossoró (G3); Portland Cement white CPB40 structural Votoran (G4) and Glass Ionomer Cement Vitro Molar DFL (G5). METHODS:Were used 25 deciduous molar teeth proveniences of the Bank of Human Teeth of the University of Mogi das Cruzes, divided into 5 groups, in which prepares proximal slot were done and restored with 5 different written materials. After time of capture, it was accomplished for impermeabilization of the teeth followed by immersion in methylene coloring blue for 4 hours. The samples were cut in longitudinal sense and evaluated by 3 calibrated examiners. It was obtained Kappa's Index 0,9 among examiners and the concordance test of Wendall introduced significance. RESULTS: The results demonstrated that G3 did not showed microinfiltration, however without statistical difference with G1. G2 groups and G4 had levels of intermediary infiltration between G3 and G5, being this what obtained infiltration larger degree. CONCLUSION: Such data allow us to conclude that the groups of the Portland Cement with plaster, be white or gray, introduce low infiltration. The group of the Glass Ionomer Cement introduced a larger microleakage, reaching dentine.
