Estimate bars as retention system in prostheses mucosussupported-implantretained
Fundamentally, there are many studies that are worry to know the behavior of biomechanics, which its envolved, mainly, the interface bone-implant, the area that is consider more susceptible to the vulnerable system prosthesis-implant. Objectives: Through the analysis photoelasticity, in the area of the apex implant, the author compares two systems of retention that are used in prostheses mucosussupported-implantretained. Methods: these systems are usually located in the extremities of three bars and varying according to its height of positioning and the points of application of the load. That is: 1: center of the bar; 2: to 6,0 mm of the center of the bar; 3: to 12,0 mm of the center of the bar, 4: in the extremity of the bar. More specific, the paper wants to determine what bar cause more levels to tension. Results: The results correspondents to the distribution of tension, which are analyzes since the matrix photoelasticity, verify that there aren't significant difference among the bars, but between points of the application burden there is an expressive difference; therefore, as the energy increase, the point of the application burden move away to the center of the bar. Conclusions: The energy of distortion was larger since the point of application of the load went away of the center of the implant. According to the tests, it can be verified, in points 3 and 4, that the traction bangs in the distal of the implant on the opposite side of the point of application of the load. For the distribution of tensions, there were no differences among the bars and this suggested that the use of the bar with the positioned retention system allow a larger space for the assembly of the teeth.
