Additional Polimerization on the Module of Elasticity

Objective: The objective of this study was evaluate the additional polimerization influence in resistence of a compound resin compressed in autoclave and heat/nitrogen.

Methods: It were made 45 samples with 3mm of diameter by 6mm of height. The compound resin Admira (Voco) was insert in 3 increments and fotopolimerizated for 40s (XL-1500, 3M; 450±20 mW/cm2) . Straight after, the samples were stored in a stove at 37ºC for 24h and shared arbitrary in 3 groups. In the first group (control)the samples were tested straight after the storage. On the second group, the samples were autoclaved and on the thirdgroup the samples were fotopolimerizated at 140º C with nitrogen compression at 60lbs for 10 min. The samples were tested on EMIC DL 2000 at 0.5 mm/min until the fracture.

Results: The results were taken in Gpa. The datas were analised statisticaly with ANOVA Turkey and the average of the tests were: On the first group I (control) 6,11b(±3,5); group II 8,45ab(±3,34); group III 11,31a(±4,7).

Conclusions: In conclusion , the methode of additional polimerization at 140ºC with pression 60lbs of nitrogen pression had increase significantly the module of elasticity of the compound resine Admira.
