Evaluation of teaching/learning at distance of the interproximal radiographic technique

Introduction: The gradual technician and scientific progress contribute to the democratization and socialization of the knowledge. The need of others popularization ways of different learning from the centralized model of restricted teaching to the teacher, only in classroom, becomes every more visible day. Objectives: This research-action aimed not only to undertake an alternative method of teaching and learning of Dentistry Radiology, from the degree course of FORP, but also, with this innovative knowledge (teach at the distance) to give support through INTERNET. This unpublished and innovative research-action, allows those who visit the site to acquire the theoretical knowledge on Radiology Dentistry. Methods: As methodology is introduced to the user, through Home Page (www.forp.usp.br/laciro), the specific theme: Interproximal Technique. By the progressive study of the learner, it was done the evaluation of the method and virtual tools. Therefore, the acquired knowledge and the learning method (teach at the distance) were appraised by protocols (Investigative Questionnaires) among learners that participated voluntarily and, it could be observed: 1) The quality (qualitative research) of the theoretical theme and 2) The presentation of the theme through Internet (research-action). Results: The results were tabulated and by the no-parametric statistical analysis it was done some considerations that allowed verifying that the use of the Internet in the Dentistry, contributes to the sedimentation of the teaching.

Conclusions:It can be concluded that Internet appears for the future of the teaching and learning not only of Radiology Dentistry, but also in the biological, exact or human areas.
