Evaluation of apical seal in different techniques of obturation

The success of the treatment of the root canal depends fundamentally of the quality of phases of the endodontic treatment. Objective: the study has as objective evaluates the apical seal of root canal filled by different techniques. Method: thirty premolars human superior will be endodontic prepared until reaching the final pattern with the instrument of caliber 35, later they will be waterproof with a layer of etila cianocrilato. Soon afterwards they will be divided in four groups of ten samples, analyzing the technique of used filling: G1: ten palatine roots filled with the molded cone using orange peel oil in the extremity of the cone; G2: ten palatine roots filled with the warm cone with the calcador to the ruby-red put around the guta-percha cone; G3: ten palatine roots filled with the equipment System B; G4: ten vestibular roots filled with the traditional technique extolled by Odontology Faculty of University of São Paulo (FOUSP). After the filling all of the specimens will be immersed in solution of metileno blue 0.5% pH 7.2 for 72 hours, to 37°C and included in resin blocks. To proceed, the specimens will be split up in the traverse sense with thickness of 1 mm for subsequent evaluation of the infiltration of the indicative color. Results: the statistical results for the test ANOVA identified significant differences to 5% in the results obtained just in the interaction System B x lamp fire. Conclusions: it was ended that the smallest infiltration degree happened in the specimens treated by System B following the technique of lateral condensation, orange peel oil and lamp fire.
