“Retrospective study of supernumerary teeth in panoramic radiographic “

Supernumerary teeth are a relatively frequent disorder of odontogenesis characterized by an excess number of teeth. They could stay between teeth and provoke teeth crowding or they stay retened .Materials and  Methods: 200 clinical  history and its panoramic.Study group:patients aged 6  to 55 years old, who need orthodontic treatment. Supernumerary were observed, and its position,frequency,quantity.
It was relationed with dentist decisión.
It was observed if they were children or adults And the prevalence by gender.Statistical analysis was performed
Results: 2,8% was the percentage of all patients. Men have supernumeray more frequent.Mesiodens was the most frequent or Bolk mesial tooth, then lower premolar. Premolar supernumerary was  eumórphic. They influence in orthodontic visit because of crowding.
Conclusions: hiperodontia is low frequent patology in our country and its important for a succesful orthodontic treatment. Panoramic radiographic is useful for diagnosis. Generally its is solucionate in childhood.
