AMOXYCILINE / METRONIDAZOLE IN PERIODONTITIS THERAPEUTIC: META-ANALYSIS OF BASIC AND CLINICAL TRIALS.
The Evidence Based Periodontology sustains the decision making and it is made up of elements as production of the best evidence composed by the critical evaluation and interpretation, communication and discussion of the same one in the individuals that demand treatment and the integration of this with the clinical abilities and valuation of the patient. The problematic situation that appears in the clinic is to recognize that type of observed periodontal situation in the patients is the recommended ones to receive the antimicrobial therapy and of which type must be this. In the therapeutic one of routine of the severe periodontitis they are mentioned antimicrobial like tetracycline, metronidazole, clorhexidine among others. Nevertheless, actually routine clinical periodontal, the chronic periodontitis are not dealt with drugs, although studies have been reported in where better results with the application of antimicrobial have been obtained. Since the prevalence of chronic periodontitis is of around 25% in Latin American populations, the focus of this study will be in patients with presented this pathology. The aim of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of amoxicyline/metronidazole in cases of chronic periodontitis by bibliographical systematic revision of clinical and basic tests in populations of young and greater adults. Studies of controlled clinical tests randomized, studies will be evaluated case-control, of cohorte of up to 6 months and controlled investigations randomized preclinical (in vitro- in alive) of diagnosed populations of young and greater adults with chronic periodontal disease and that only presents/displays data on scaling and root planing, antibacterial action (dose-time) of amoxicyline/metronidazole and action of amoxicyline/metronidazole jointly with scaling and root planing. Models of regression for the prediction of the effectiveness of the applied treatments will be used. The heterogeneity of the studies will be evaluated by means of tests of correlations based on matrices of similarities Key word: chronic periodontitis-antiobiotic-metaanlysis
