“ Fungus tisular invasión in periodontal disease”.

Periodontal disease are associated to a complex microbiota, which act with guest and which defense mechanisms are unknown.
Materials and  methods: 40 patients were studied aged  21 to 55 years old with periodontal disease.clinical and radiographic parameters were evaluated. Relative isolation was performed and supragingival plaque was removed , then  subgingival plaque was removed and put in  Eppendorf tube with  0.5 ml of sterile solution and  VMGA medium to anaerobic microorganisms. Microscopic analysis was performed. In another session, biopsy was made and in combinated pocket and put in formol. Immunohistochemist was made. Results:  29,9% of samples have different Candida species, principal C. albicans. En los cultivos de muestras In subgingival plaque  30% have Candida species. Anaerobic microorganismswere present.Fungus tisular invasión were seen in conective tissue.
Conclusions:periodontal  subgingival environmental changes favor fungus growth.
