”Evaluation of the comply with biosafety recommendations in dental and medical field”

Transmisión of pathogens from one patient to another as well as between members of dental or medical team from a contaminated instrument has been a problem for infection control. So it is necesary that all  the proffessionals know the state of art from infection control.CDC,OSHA,HCW and  EPA give solid structure to necesary recommendations of universal precautions.Objetive: to evaluate the comply with biosafety recommendations  in dental and medical field . Materials and methods: an anonymous survy was  administered from 200 dentist and doctor, 22 to 65 years old, male and female, working in hospitals and dental offices,to observe the  way that they use to prevent cross infection, specially disinfection and sterilization, and biological controls of their autoclaves and the use of personal protection. Results: professionals  complete the personal protection rules .
About the recovery of instruments, they have problems relationed with disinfectant agents and the importante of the autoclave to sterilize because of its prion level, and the biological controls to validate the sterilization.It is very important that the professionals understand  that every instrument or appliance which they place into the mouth, must be sterile.
Conclusions: Training and education are needed to see again biosafety rules in  doctor practice to recover and sterilize instrumets and for long term sterility to avoid cross infection.
