Method: This study was quasy experimental design with nonequivalent control group pretest post test design. Sampling used saturation sampling and then compared between pre-test and post-test by using questionnaires. Sample was used from 28 primary school students (between 8-9 years of age). The data was tabulated and interpreted. The results was analyzed with independent t test parametric test and test paired sample t test to find out the value of oral health knowledge.
Result: Mean oral health knowledge value of 8 years old were 9.1 on pretest and 11 on posttest, 9 years old were 8.6 on pretest and 10.4 on posttest. Based on data analysis, there was a significant difference in oral health knowledge enhancement of primary school students (p<0.05).
Conclusion:
Oral health knowledge of elementary school students higher after through counseling by stage dolls. There was a change value of results, that showed significance oral health knowledge enhancement. This was caused by media of stage dolls that was understood easily, more attractive, and enable all of five senses.
