Antimicrobial Effectiveness of Microdacyn 60, sodium hypochlorite 5.25% and MTAD

Objective: To compare the antimicrobial effect: Microdacyn 60, 5.25% NaOCl and MTAD against E. faecalis

Method: 33 extracted single-rooted pieces, previously instrumented, were used to inoculate the E. faecalis. Following growth, were irrigated with NaCl, 5.25% NaOCl, MTAD Microdacyn 60 and inside the anaerobic chamber, a sample of each specimen was placed in an Eppendorf tube with tripticaseina soy broth to bring to the incubator and after 7 days was observed bacterial growth. A sample was taken and planted each boxes growth in agar, after 7 days, bacterial count was performed on each one of them, PCR was performed and Gram staining for the bacteria.

Result:  Statistical analysis showed that MTAD and 5.25% NaOCl are excellent intracanal irrigants against E. removal Faecalis, since none of the specimens were used for bacterial growth. Without presenting statistically significant differences between them. The Microdacyn 60 has diminished effect against this bacteria

Conclusion:The 5.25% NaOCl and anti-bacterial properties HALF Microdacyn above 60, eliminating the E. faecalis.
