STUDY of EFFECT of NOV AL 9X MORINGA OLEIFERA PURPLE BAMBOO SALT FLOURIDE TOOTHPASTE on WISTAR RATS

Objectives: To assess the efficacy of a new fluoride toothpaste formulated with Moringa oleiferaand purple bamboo salt in improving oral hygiene, reducing plaque, preventing cavities, and maintaining healthy gums in Wistar rats.
Methods: The study utilized Wistar rats divided into different groups for treatment with the novel toothpaste. The antimicrobial activity of the toothpaste was tested against E. faecalis, S. mutans, and Lactobacillus species using the zone of inhibition method. The toothpaste's formulation included 9X processed sea salt variants combined with Moringa oleifera. The in-vitro cytotoxicity assessment was conducted using the MTT assay on the 3T3-L1 mouse fibroblast cell line.
Results: The novel toothpaste showed significant antimicrobial activity, with varying levelsof inhibition observed against the tested bacteria. The Moringa oleifera and purple bamboo salt combination demonstrated enhanced effectiveness in reducing bacterial growth comparedto conventional fluoride toothpaste. The in-vitro cytotoxicity test indicated that the toothpaste formulation was non-toxic at the tested concentrations.
Conclusions: The study concludes that the novel toothpaste containing 9X Moringa oleifera and purple bamboo salt exhibits promising antimicrobial properties and is safe for oral use.The findings suggest potential applications in preventing dental caries and promoting oral health.
