Method: We used the curing Raddi-Plus® (SDI), and divided into three groups for each composite by varying the polymerization time (20, 30 and 40 seconds). To prepare the samples was used to split a circular array tecnill with 2 mm in height and 4 mm in diameter. After the making of the same specimens were stored in 100% humidity at 37 ° C ± 1. The sample was immersed in absolute alcohol for 24 hours and then performed tests (ANOVA) evaluating top and base.
Result: FiltekZ350XT® composite resin showed better results in all situations at the top (p <0.001) in the three times studied. At the base of the specimen, a significant difference between the different times in the two composites (0.015 and p <0.001), where the resin Opallis® got harder time of 40 seconds than in the days 20 and 30 seconds and the hardness time of 30 seconds was greater than that of 20 seconds (Tukey post-test, p <0.05). In addition, the hardness of the specimens placed in absolute alcohol, resin FiltekZ350XT® in time 40 seconds, was higher than that observed in time 20 seconds (Tukey post-test, p <0.05).
Conclusion:
There was no significant difference for the resin FiltekZ350XT® in relation to the time of polymerization, different Opallis® resin, both resins when placed in absolute alcohol have a lower hardness at the base than at the top, suggesting that the bond chemical of is reduced when exposed to this solution.
