Method: Resin luting agents containing BisGMA and TEGDMA and 65wt% of silaneted filler particles were prepared with the use of the photoinitiators: CQ-Camphoroquinone, PPD-Phenil Propanodione, BAPO-Bisacylphosphine Oxide, DMAEMA-Dimethylaminoethyl Methacrylate and DPIHFP-Diphenyliodonium Hexafluorphosphate. The combination used were: G1-CQ/DMAEMA, G2-CQ/DMAEMA/DPIHFP, G3-PPD/DMAEMA, G4- PPD/DMAEMA/DPIHFP, G5-BAPO/DMAEMA and G6- BAPO/DMAEMA/DPIHFP. The light curing unit used was a LED (BluePhase-Ivoclar). A power meter and a spectrometer (USB 2000) were used for show the total irradiance and the emitted in certain wavelengths. The curve of absorption of the photoinitiators was checked by a spectrometer (Varian Cary 5G). The luting material was photoactivated for 40 s through ceramic disk (Empress E-Max with 1 mm thick). Analysis of DC was made in FTIR. The data were submitted to the ANOVA and the Tukey`s test (5%).
Result: In agreement with the results of DC (%) G5 (59.7) = G6 (59.5%) > G2 (49.2) > G4 (41.6) = G1 (41.2) > G3 (31.1).
Conclusion: The photoinitiator BAPO produced the higher DC values and the ternary photoinitiator system produced higher DC values that binary photoinitiator system.
