Oral health inequalities remain a significant public health challenge globally. Research has highlighted that as is the case with general health, a step wise gradient exists across the social hierarchy for both subjective and clinical oral health outcomes. This presentation will outline current research findings on the social determinants of oral health inequalities and highlight future directions for both policy and research in this area.
