2005 Kentucky Licensed Dentist Workforce Study
Objectives: Study national projections from ADA for dentist to population ratio as relates to State of Kentucky. Study dental workforce planning issues in Kentucky by analysis of number and location of dentists practicing in Kentucky, extent to which they use other professions to support their activities, short-term plans for changing practice activities, nature of their practice, participation in national and statewide charitable dental service projects.
Methods: Voluntary four page survey sent to all Kentucky licensed dentists of record (N = >2950, October, 2005) on file with Kentucky Board of Dentistry.
Results: Teleform Elite software system will produce data in the MS Access format to be translated to SPSS and SAS formats for analysis. Maps will be produced using ArcMap. Aggregate analysis will report summary, descriptive statistics, graphs and maps of the returned surveys. Conclusion: To be determined (work in progress)
