The Interficail Area Reaserch about gold Galvano Ceramic Prosthetics

objectives: This study is aimed on evaluate the action of gold bonder in Galvanic-ceramic system , analyses the meaning of using gold bonder in galvanic ceramic system.Methods: 2 groups of five disc samples were be studied and tested. One group is galvanic golden disc baked with gold bonder and then baked with ceramic, another group is galvanic gold disc directly baked with ceramic. The appearance characters and ionic diffusion character in the interfacial area of galvanic ceramic combination were observed by EPMA and EPM. And the bonding strength of gold galvanic basis and ceramic were tested by universal testing machine. Results: In interfacial area, in the using gold bonder group, the width of ionic diffusion is obviously increased, but there is no new element is fond in used gold bonder group. T test statistics analysis indicates that the difference in two group's bonding strength has no statistical difference. And there is a big crack in using gold bonder group. Conclusion: the gold bonder has placed an important role in increase galvanic ceramic combination strength. Correct making step will add the bonding strength of gold and ceramic, but incorrect making manner also can lead to the fail of gold ceramic combination, so the condition of gold bonder sintering must be strict controlled.
