The Evaluation of Novel Dual-cure Resin Cements

Objectives: The aim of this study was the experimental development of dual cure resin cement and the comparing of the physical properties such as flexural strength and radio-opacity with commercial products. Methods: Experimental group (EX) was made with novel resin matrix including 3-functional groups. 3 kinds of commercial products (Panavia F (PA), Kuraray Co., Japan; RelyX ARC (RE), 3M Co., USA; Calibra (CA), Dentsply/Caulk Co., USA) were used for control. The flexural strength and radio-opacity were measured by ISO 4049:2000. The data were compared statistically by One-way ANOVA test and Tukey's grouping test (p<0.05). Results: The results of this study were as follows: Conclusion: The novel dual cure resin cements composed with 3-funtional groups can be used for the esthetic resin cements. This study was supported by a grant of Korea Health 21 R&D Project (02-PJ1-PG11-VN01-SV03-0020).
